Who the Bilt Blue is best for

The Blue is the entry point into Bilt 2.0. With no annual fee, there's no downside to holding it, which makes it the natural pick if you want to start earning points on rent or a mortgage without committing to a premium card.

The no-fee way to earn on housing

The headline feature is simple: you can earn up to 1.25x points on rent and mortgage payments — something no other no-annual-fee card offers. Your everyday spend earns 1x. The base earn rate is modest compared to a flat 2% cashback card, but for renters and homeowners, earning transferable points on your single largest monthly bill is the part that actually moves the needle.

How the housing rewards work

You earn on housing one of two ways: the Bilt Cash method (earn 4% Bilt Cash on everyday spend, then use it to unlock fee-free points on rent/mortgage) or a tiered method (the more everyday spending you put on the card relative to your housing payment, the higher your housing multiplier, up to 1.25x). You can switch between the two monthly.
